Service Description

Synap is a knowledge management platform available as a free desktop application (Synap Desktop) and a paid web service (Synap Web). The desktop version operates entirely locally. The web version provides team collaboration features with cloud storage.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Synap in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not use the service to store or distribute illegal content, attempt to compromise the security of other users' data, or reverse-engineer the platform.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you create, store, or process through Synap. Your minds, documents, and AI conversations belong to you. Synap does not claim any rights to your content.

Limitation of Liability

Synap is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss, business interruption, or damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you can export your data within 30 days.

Modifications

We may modify these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may close your account before they take effect.
